Large Ceramic Sculpture

I have always been fascinated with the idea of clay as a skin of material that can express the spirit of what it might hold. This show of skin spirits was a series of portraits of people I knew who could be expressed this way. For example “Pack-Saddle-Dad” was a portrait of my father who taught mule packing in WW II but by age 75 was still saddled with the mans burden of doing very little for himself and so much for others.
